Which 2015 Summer Wedding Colors Are Right for You?

After answering that special proposal with an exuberant "I do," most brides are quickly confronted with the next most important decision: "What should I choose for my summer wedding colors?" The multiple wedding trends for 2015 offer a host of combinations for every taste, location and style.

Because color choices affect almost everything about a wedding, it is important to settle on a palette that feels right to the bride. Personal choice matters because those wedding colors can create the right mood, adjust energy levels, stir feelings and overall, create the perfect setting to be captured in photos and memories for a lifetime.

This year's summer weddings may be formal or informal, in the country or in the city, indoors or outside, in the backyard or in a church, on a hilltop or at the seashore. There are wedding colors for every setting and mood. Wise planners avoid focusing too much on a specific theme or it may unwittingly become the focal point of the wedding. Instead, they let the carefully chosen color scheme become the unifying agent. The following examples represent current color trends for creating a beautiful summer wedding celebration:

1. Blues, blues, and more blues - For the seaside or coastal wedding, Monaco, a soft royal blue; Rain, an even softer blue; organic Sage and Ivory are a lovely combination. Want to increase the energy level? Choose Scuba Blue, a much stronger passionate blue, balance it with equally intense Radiant Orchid, and keep everything from going over the top with lots of Bright White. Together, these colors can create their own carefree tropical paradise.

2. Glorious greens - For 2015, Pantone is recommending two variations of green: For a calm and cool summer feeling, consider Aquamarine, add a deeper green in the same family and blend in some peach. These colors will work together to keep the stress levels at a minimum. On the other hand, Pantone's Lucite Green has a minty tone that's refreshing. This color will be ideal for vintage weddings, especially with antique china and lace.

3. Marsala-Pantone's "Color of the Year" got off to a bit of a slow start, but its deep brownish wine-red is now welcome at every occasion, including summer wedding color combinations. When joined with pinks and grays, it adds richness and a feeling of luxury without overpowering softer colors. It looks stunning with an equally intense dusty blue or with a rose and gold palette. The combination of Marsala, Ivory, Turquoise and Slate has balanced impact for a sophisticated, modern summer wedding.

4. Party colors - For that celebration atmosphere, combining Kiwi green, Azalea pink, Plumeria purple and Silver will guarantee a lively event. These colors sit on opposite sides of the color wheel. Bring them together for a maximum contrast that will be energizing and just plain fun.

5. Forever pinks - Yes, summer weddings can still be stunning in pink. Strawberry Ice has an amazing double side in that it is uniquely cool and refreshing, as well as subtly warm and definitely charming. Another option might be to combine Custom Rose pink with Carnation pink, a light gray neutral, and Olive green for some depth of color. These choices offer both harmony and contrast. They are effective for romantic, even rustic wedding color themes.

These are only samples of the many lovely wedding colors available for 2015 summer brides. Without a doubt, there is a color combination for every style and personal taste. Enjoy customizing your wedding with your favorite colors. You'll be setting the stage for a lifetime of wonderful memories.
